Miss Universe Colombia 2024 is Daniela Toloza from Valle
The 30-year-old, representing the department of Valle del Cauca, beat 29 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds Camila Avella, last year's winner and Miss Universe 2023 Top 5 finalist.
Huila's María Alejandra Salazar placed second and was named "virreina" while the contestants from Barranquilla, Kimberly Hooker, and Risaralda, Leidy Yuliana Gómez were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Mariana Zuleta of Antioquia, Leicy Rivas of Chocó, María Clara Cañavera of Córdoba and Yoselin Riascos of Tumaco were the Top 8 finalist.
Rounding out the Top 16 were Bolívar, Kelly Reales, Buenaventura, Luisa María López, Cali, Manuela Castaño, Cartagena, Kaina Andrea, Casanare, Estefani Ariza, Cesar, Natalia Santiago, Medellín, Valentina Pérez Burgos, and Nariño, Angela Chamorro.
The new Miss Universe Colombia will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year.
"This reign is for all. We are going to represent Colombia in Miss Universe with all the responsibility, pride and love," Daniela shared after winning her national crown.
Reigning Miss Universe from Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios graced the event as special guest while former Miss Universe from Venezuela Bárbara Palacios was one of the judges.
