Miss Namibia 2024 is Prisca Anyolo from Windhoek


Prisca Anyolo was crowned Miss Namibia 2024 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, July 20 in the historic town of Lüderitz.

The 28-year-old award-winning journalist and television presenter from Windhoek bested nine other finalists to win the coveted national title.

She succeeds Jameela Uiras, last year's winner who made the Top 20 at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November.

Lenna Mugena and Georgia Garises were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Jodie-Lee Barnard and Naomi Kamenye rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

The winners of this year's Miss Namibia pageant are expected to represent their country at Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth pageants.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Miss Universe 2024, the 73rd Miss Universe pageant will be held in Mexico later this year. The country known for its rich culture, ancient ruins, dazzling beaches, and incredible cuisine has been chosen to host the competition for the fifth time after 1978, 1989, 1993, and 2007. Washington's Heidi Stephens was crowned Mrs. American 2024 on Tuesday, August 27 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. The 37-year-old certified emergency nurse and a mother of two bested over 40 other contestants from across the country to win the national title. Christina Joymon of Colorado was named first runner-up while Stacie Proctor of Utah finished as the second runner-up. Emma Heyst was crowned Miss Denmark 2024 in a glittering national competition on Sunday, September 1 at the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen. The 21-year-old animal welfare advocate and salesperson from Sæby, Jutland succeeds last year's winner Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen. Sophie Wagner and Sofie Ørn Andersen were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Sofie Langballe Jensen and Simran Kholi rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Denmark is expected to represent her country in a major international pageant in 2025. Emma is currently taking a sabbatical and working as a full-time salesperson in Ilva. Creed was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2024 in a national competition held on Thursday, September 5 at the grand ballroom of the Crown Perth in Burswood. The 23-year-old model from Brisbane edged out 27 other competitors to win the title. She is the first national winner from Queensland since Jesinta Campbell in 2010. Laetitia Greco and Renèe Mourad were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Bronte Rose Dagg and Jennifer Crown were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. The 33-year-old model, actress, and philanthropist succeeds last year's winner John Sotima, and will now prepare to represent Cambodia at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. The 22-year-old first Caymanian Olympic gymnast from East End will represent the Cayman Islands at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. The 23-year-old beauty from Gauteng, South Africa, bested 24 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Nigeria at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Paula Ezendu of Anambra State was the first runner-up and received the Miss Supranational Nigeria 2024 title. She will head to Poland to participate in Miss Supranational 2025 next summer.
