Miss Universe Great Britain 2024 is Christina Chalk from Dunblane


Christina Chalk was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2024 on Saturday, July 6 at The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport, Wales.

The 30-year-old Scottish-Filipino pharmacology graduate from Dunblane, Scotland bested over 40 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Jessica Page Lennon.

Eddison Emam and Evanjelin Francia Elchmanar were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Rehema Muthamia and Cara Frew rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

The new Miss Universe Great Britain is no stranger to pageantry. In May, she represented the United Kingdom at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant and made the Top 20 among 53 contestants.

Christina will now prepare to represent Great Britain at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico this November.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Over 20 beauties have already been confirmed as representatives of their respective countries and territories for the 71st Miss World edition. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes.
