Miss Universe Malta 2024 is Beatrice Njoya of Saint Paul's Bay


Miss Saint Paul's Bay, Beatrice Njoya, bested over 20 other contestants to win Miss Universe Malta 2024 on Thursday, July 11 at the Hilton Malta in St Julian's.

The 39-year-old proud mother of three, originally from Cameroon, will represent Malta at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico this November.

Beatrice succeeds last year's winner from St. Julian's, Ella Portelli. She made history as the first black African-born, mother, and oldest woman to be crowned Miss Universe Malta.

Janie Desira of Zejtun and Julieth Casco of Floriana were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Didi Mizzi of Gharghur, Rachel Portelli of Gozo, and Cody Micaleff of Zebbug completed the Top 6 finalists.

Miss Universe 2024, the 73rd Miss Universe pageant will be held in Mexico later this year. The country known for its rich culture, ancient ruins, dazzling beaches, and incredible cuisine has been chosen to host the competition for the fifth time after 1978, 1989, 1993, and 2007. Miss Universe Kenya 2024 is Irene Ng'endo

After a 2-year hiatus, Kenya is set to return to the Miss Universe stage with Irene Ng'endo Mukii who was crowned Miss Universe Kenya 2024 on Friday, August 16 at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi. The 26-year-old software engineer beat 15 other finalists to win the national title. She will represent Kenya at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. Mercy Jerotich and Stacy Sang were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Reigning Miss Universe from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, was a special guest at the glittering event. The new Miss Universe Kenya is also a philanthropist and fitness enthusiast. She founded The Mansion Dance Studio, which offers ballet and general dance classes to kids and young adults. Miss Ecuador 2024 is Eunice Rivadeneira from Guayaquil

Eunice Rivadeneira was crowned Miss Ecuador 2024 on Saturday, August 17 at the Salinas Golf & Tennis Club in the beautiful coastal city of Salinas. The 24-year-old architect from Guayaquil beat 20 other contestants to win the national pageant. She is now expected to represent Ecuador at Miss International 2025. Galia Garcia was named first runner-up while Dagmar Prieto, Romina Murillo, Melany Padilla, and Isabella Sotomayor were the second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Ecuador succeeds last year's winner Delary Stoffers, who went on to compete in Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. This year, the Concurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador (CNB Ecuador) took over the license for Miss Universe Ecuador from the Miss Ecuador organization. Miss Árbær, Sóldís Vala Ívarsdóttir, was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2024 (Miss Iceland/Miss Universe Iceland 2024) on Wednesday, August 14 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik. The 18-year-old beauty will now prepare to represent Iceland at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. She succeeds last year's winner Lilja Pétursdóttir. Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Miss Earth Thailand 2024 is Rachadawan Fowler

Rachadawan "Soda" Fowler was crowned Miss Earth Thailand 2024 during the national competition on Sunday, August 18 at the InterContinental Bangkok. The 22-year-old Thai-American beauty beat 15 other finalists to win the title. She will represent Thailand at Miss Earth 2024 whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Nanticha Kasia was named Miss Earth Land while Wantira Prompraphan, Jidapa Charoenpong, and Kanchanok Puttharakchat were Miss Earth Air, Water, and Fire, respectively. Cora Bliault, last year's winner who made the Top 4 at Miss Earth 2023, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. After 40 years, Guadeloupe is set to return to the Miss Universe pageant with newly crowned Miss Universe Guadeloupe 2024 Coraly Desplan. The 20-year-old student from Pointe-Noire was crowned during the glittering event on Friday, August 16 at the Memorial ACTe in Pointe-à-Pitre. She bested nine other finalists to win the competition and will now prepare to represent Guadeloupe at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Noémie Milne was named first runner-up while Naïa Granger and Stessy Belair finished as the second and third runners-up, respectively. Miss Earth United Arab Emirates 2024 is Noura Aljasmi

The United Arab Emirates is all set to debut at the Miss Earth pageant with the newly crowned Miss Middle East 2024 (Miss Earth United Arab Emirates 2024). Noura, a 22-year-old aviation science student from Abu Dhabi, bested 29 other contestants to win the beauty title. She made history as the first-ever Emirati woman to participate in Miss Earth.
