Miss World Malta 2024 is Nicole Spiteri


Nicole Spiteri was crowned Miss World Malta 2024 during the national competition held on Wednesday, July 3 in Fort St. Elmo, Valletta.

The 21-year-old beauty bested 24 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds Martine Cutajar and is now expected to represent Malta at the 72nd Miss World.

"Words cannot express what this moment means to me. I did not always believe in myself but through hard work and perseverance I am here today," said the new Miss World Malta.

Nicole entered the pageant because of Beauty With A Purpose. She had previously volunteered at domestic violence shelters, worked with children and individuals with special needs, and gained insight into the challenges her community encounters.

"Through working in a homeless shelter, I was able to see first hand the problems that people in our society face everyday and it made me want to do more," she wrote online.

"Miss World Malta provided a platform for me to advocate on the struggles of homeless people in our society, and to continue to spread awareness on this issue," she added.

Miss Earth Caguas Valeria Meléndez was proclaimed Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, February 1 at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. The 25-year-old fashion designer edged out 17 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Earth 2025 pageant. Singaporean lawyer Madeleine Poh was crowned Mrs. Petite Global 2025 in an international pageant held on January 9 at Shantanand Auditorium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Makaʻala Perry is the newly appointed Miss International Hawaii 2023 and will represent the Aloha State at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October. The 24-year-old flight attendant, business owner, and musician was announced as Priscilla Wang's successor for the national title last month. Besides working for Hawaiian Airlines and running her own business called Sunbeams Creamery, a dessert shop located in Wahiawa, she is also pursuing her bachelor of arts degree in music at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
