Miss Scotland 2024 is Amy Scott from Strathaven


Amy Scott edged out nine other finalists to be crowned Miss Scotland 2024 (Miss World Scotland) on Saturday, August 24 at The Corinthian Club in Glasgow.

The 24-year-old MS advocate from Strathaven will represent Scotland at the 72nd Miss World. She succeeds last year's winner, Miss Scotland 2023 Chelsie Allison.

Olivia Maree Wilson from Kilsyth and Sasha Elizabeth McDonald from Angus were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

"I'm so happy to finally be able to get round to posting after such a hectic couple of days, but I'm proud to say I'll be representing Scotland at Miss World," said the new Miss Scotland.

"I'm so excited to see what this year has in store being fully aware of how big the shoes I have to fill are, courtesy of Chelsie Allison," she continued.

"I'm particularly excited to continue raising money and awareness toward the MS Society as part of my journey to Miss World."

Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Miss Fairfield USA Jenna Hofmann was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2025 on Sunday, January 26 at the Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. Chief Executive Officer of JKN Global Group Public Company Limited, Anne Jakrajutatip, has now been confirmed as the new owner of the Miss Universe Organization. The Thai transgender businesswoman, also known as Anne JKN, made the announcement of full ownership of MUO on social media with the caption "Yes, I own it all, I am the sole owner, and finally, the universe is ours." This update also just confirmed the recent rumor that a billionaire from Thailand was interested in buying Miss Universe after the news broke out it was allegedly being sold by the previous owner IMG for $20 million. Miss Universe Hungary 2021 is Jázmin Viktória Elizabeth

Jázmin Viktória Elizabeth was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2021 in a special event held at Gigi's Budapest on Saturday, November 6. The 20-year-old model and student from Budapest bested 13 other beauties to win her national title. She will now prepare to represent Hungary at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel this December. Edina Maronka and Nina Tobias were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "I’m beyond blessed and honored that I will represent Hungary," the new Miss Universe Hungary shared on her social media account. "Everything happened so fast so it’ll definitely take time for me to process what happened," she added. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Sabah Aïb of Nord-Pas-de-Calais was named first runner-up while Stella Vangioni of Corsica, Moïra André of Guadeloupe, and Lilou Emeline-Artuso of Côte d'Azur were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Karen Jansen, representing the Dutch province of Limburg, was crowned Miss Belgium 2025 on Saturday, February 15 in De Panne. The 23-year-old psychology student and freelance model from Lommel bested more than 30 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner, Kenza Ameloot. Jane Baesen and Astrid Lafaut were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Axana Carmoy and Kiana Verstraete were the other runners-up.
