Miss Universe 2024 final date and venue announced


Miss Universe 2024, the much-awaited 73rd Miss Universe pageant will be held on November 16 at the Arena CDMC in Mexico City.

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) made the official announcement on Friday, August 23 on its official social media accounts.

MUO posted, "History is about to be rewritten The moment we've all been waiting for is just around the corner. Are you ready to witness the most unforgettable night of a lifetime?"

Officially opened in 2012 in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, the Arena CDMX (Mexico City Arena) has a maximum capacity of 22,300 spectators. The indoor arena hosts concerts, sports, and other events.

This year's pageant will be the 5th Miss Universe edition to be hosted in Mexico after 1978, 1989, 1993, and 2007. Over 100 contestants worldwide are expected to arrive in the country to compete for the crown.

Miss Universe 2023 from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, will crown her successor at the culmination of the upcoming competition.

Nigeria's Samuel Nwajagu wins Mister International 2024

Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Nguyen Man Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. María Cepero Jiménez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024 on Friday, December 6 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The 26-year-old law student beat over 50 other contestants to win her country's 5th Miss Intercontinental title. She succeeds last year's winner Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat from Thailand. Georgette Musrie of Venezuela was named first runner-up while Alyssa Redondo of the Philippines finished as the second runners-up.
