Miss Universe Italy 2024 is Glelany Cavalcante


Glelany Cavalcante was crowned Miss Universe Italy 2024 during the national competition held on September 18 at Villa Cafiero in San Fernando di Puglia.

The 30-year-old model and entrepreneur originally from Brazil bested 20 other contestants to win the title. She became the first Brazilian and married woman to become Miss Universe Italy.

Giada Folcia and Marika Nardozi were named the first and second runners-up while Rachele Perelli and Catalina Jacob rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

Completing the Top 10 were Carlotta Maggiorana, Federica Ligato, Angela Etiope, Veronica Siniscalchi, and Carolina Trombatore.

The new Miss Universe Italy succeeds last year's winner Carmen Panepinto and will now prepare to represent Italy at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November.

Singaporean lawyer Madeleine Poh was crowned Mrs. Petite Global 2025 in an international pageant held on January 9 at Shantanand Auditorium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 28-year-old newly-wed has made history as the first Singaporean representative to be crowned Mrs Petite Global. She also bagged several awards including Best in Evening Gown, Sport Wear, Interview, and Catwalk. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes. For the first time since scrapping the swimsuit competition in 2018, there will be a segment that focuses on health and fitness.
