USA's Janelis Leyba wins Miss Asia Pacific International 2024


USA's Janelis Leyba was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 on Monday, October 7 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, Philippines.

The 20-year-old model and student from New York City beat over 30 other contestants to become the first representative from the United States of America to win the international title.

Karen Sofia Nu帽ez of Mexico was named first runner-up while Selena Ali of Belgium, Blessa Ericha Figueroa of the Philippines, and Jennifer Prokop of Germany were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

The rest of the Top 10 finalists were Mya Bao of Canada, Katharina Weischede of New Zealand, Wanja Jennifer Grace Olsson of Sweden, Kanyaphatsaphon Rungrueang of Thailand, and Anh Vuong Pham Thi of Vietnam.

Completing the Top 20 were Gabriela De Paiva Padilla of Bolivia, Luisa Valentina Mu帽oz Ruiz of Colombia, Julie Goye Dogan of France, Keshia Lee Llarenas of Guam, Mercedes Pair of Hong Kong, Sophiya Singh of India, Merel van Roon of the Netherlands, Chizuruoke Sufficient Arua of Nigeria, Alethea Hui Xuan Yee of Singapore, and Mar铆a S谩nchez P谩ez of Venezuela.

The contestants from Nigeria, Guam, Belgium, Bolivia, and India were awarded the continental titles. Guam and Thailand bagged the Miss Congeniality and People's Choice award, respectively.

This year's competition marked the return of the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant after a 4-year hiatus. Spain's Chaiyenne Huisman, who won in 2019, relinquished her reign at the end of the event.

The new Miss Asia Pacific International was born and raised in New York. She is currently pursuing her degree in business administration. Besides studying and working full-time as a model, Leyba is also a caregiver and educator for children.

Emma Heyst to represent Denmark at the 72nd Miss World

Reigning Miss Denmark Emma Heyst has been officially announced by the Miss Denmark Organization as Miss World Denmark 2025. The 22-year-old was crowned Miss Denmark 2024 in September last year in Copenhagen. She will now prepare to represent Denmark at Miss World 2025 in India this coming May. According to the national pageant organization, Emma is future sociology student, philanthropist, model and sports enthusiast who has been involved in humanitarian work for years. Inspired by her own mother, she is deeply committed to her work with the organization Lykkeliga, which provides an inclusive and safe community for children with developmental disabilities. Miss Supranational Brazil 2025 is Eduarda Braum of Esp铆rito Santo

Eduarda Braum was crowned Miss Supranational Brazil 2025 on Friday, April 4 at Hotel Sibara in Balne谩rio Cambori煤, Santa Catarina. The 25-year-old model and influencer, representing Esp铆rito Santo, will represent Brazil at Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland this June. Maria Gasparotto of Guanabara and Cassia Adriane of Par谩 were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Universe Iceland S贸ld铆s Vala 脥varsd贸ttir was officially proclaimed Miss Earth Iceland 2025 during the recently held Ungfr煤 脥sland 2025 (Miss Iceland) pageant in Reykjav铆k. Xinying Zhu from Anhui crowned Miss Universe China

China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant. Miss Universe Philippines 2025: Meet the contestants

Miss Universe Philippines 2025, the 6th edition of the annual Miss Universe Philippines pageant will be held this May at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Sixty-nine contestants representing various municipalities, cities, and provinces of the Philippines will compete for a chance to represent the country at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.
