Australia's Jessica Lane crowned Miss Earth 2024
The 21-year-old activist and journalist beat over 70 other contestants to win the international pageant. She made history as the first Australian woman to become Miss Earth.
Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir of Iceland, Bea Millan-Windorski of the USA, and Niva Antezana of Peru were crowned Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water, and Miss Earth Fire 2024, respectively.
The Top 8 finalists and runners-up were Jasmine Jorgensen of Cabo Verde, Tamara Aznar of the Dominican Republic, Bianca Caraballo of Puerto Rico, and Ekaterina Romanova of Russia.
Completing the Top 12 were the contestants from Mauritius, Shreeya Bokhoree, Namibia, Albertina Haimbala, Nigeria, Shuntell Ezomo, and the Philippines, Irha Mel Alfeche.
The rest of the Top 20 were from Cuba, Stephany Díaz, Korea, Ryu Seo Bin, the Netherlands, Faylinn Pattileamonia, New Zealand, Angela Rowson, Poland, Julia Zawistowska, Thailand, Rachadawan Fowler, UAE, Noura Al Jasmi, and Wales, Grace Gavigan.
This year's competition marked the 24th edition of the annual pageant. It was themed "Heritage" to promote the eco-tourism destinations of the host country and the contestants' heritage.
Last year's winner, Drita Ziri from Albania, and her elemental court, Yllana Aduana from the Philippines, Do Thi Lan Anh from Vietnam, and Cora Bliault from Thailand crowned their respective successors at the end of the event.
