Miss Universe 2024: New crown by Jewelmer officially revealed


A new Miss Universe crown made by Filipino jewelry brand Jewelmer was officially unveiled on Thursday, November 14 in Mexico City.

Handcrafted by Filipino master craftsmen, the new crown features the rare golden South Sea pearl, the national gem of the Philippines.

The "Lumière de l’Infini" (Light of Inifinity) crown is proudly the first-ever Filipino-crafted crown for the Miss Universe pageant.

Contestants from 127 countries and territories are currently vying to become the 73rd Miss Universe.

The much-awaited Miss Universe 2024 grand final show and coronation will be held on November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Before the exciting announcement, several countries were mentioned as possible hosts including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, Nigeria, and the Philippines. Miss Universe Brazil 2025 is Maria Gabriela Lacerda

Maria Gabriela Lacerda, representing the state of Piauí, was crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2025 on Thursday, February 13 in Alphaville, São Paulo. The 22-year-old journalist bested 23 other contestants to win the beauty title. She received her crown from Brazil's first Miss Universe winner, Miss Universe 1963 Ieda Maria Vargas. Aline Fritsch of Rio Grande do Sul and Ana Carolina Ceolin Comério of Espírito Santo were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "This crown is ours, my Piauí. Karen Jansen, representing the Dutch province of Limburg, was crowned Miss Belgium 2025 on Saturday, February 15 in De Panne. The 23-year-old psychology student and freelance model from Lommel bested more than 30 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner, Kenza Ameloot. Sergio Azuaga from Venezuela was crowned Man of the World 2024 on Friday, July 26 at Winford Resort and Casino in Manila, Philippines. The 20-year-old model made history as the first Venezuelan to win the international pageant. He succeeds last year's winner from Korea, Jin Wook Kim. Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines was named first runner-up while Gwen Jegouzo of France, Fernando Ezequiel Padín of Puerto Rico, and Sebastián Mora of Ecuador were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Dia Maté of the Philippines was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 on Sunday, February 9 at the Salón Sirionó, Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Cavite became the second Filipina to win the international pageant next to Teresita Ssen Marquez who won in 2017. She also bagged the Best in National Costume award. Her costume "Banaag" by Ehrran Montoya was inspired by her country's baroque churches recognized in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
