Puerto Rico's María Cepero crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024


María Cepero Jiménez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024 on Friday, December 6 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

The 26-year-old law student beat over 50 other contestants to win her country's 5th Miss Intercontinental title. She succeeds last year's winner Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat from Thailand.

Georgette Musrie of Venezuela was named first runner-up while Alyssa Redondo of the Philippines finished as the second runners-up.

Bui Khanh Linh of Vietnam, Celina Weil of Germany, Kenyatta Beazer of the USA, and Amanda Peresu of Zimbabwe were the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth runners-up, respectively.

Completing the Top 22 were the representatives of Belgium, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Japan, Kenya, Moldova, Russia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Wales, and Zambia.

The continental titles were awarded to Zimbabwe (Africa), Vietnam (Asia and Oceania), Germany (Europe), the USA (North America), and Venezuela (South America).

This year's competition marked the 52nd edition of the annual Miss Intercontinental pageant.

The new Miss Intercontinental is no stranger to pageantry. She placed in the Top 5 at Miss World America 2023 and was first runner-up at Miss World Puerto Rico 2024.

Puerto Rico's Daniel Mejía wins Mr World 2024

Daniel Mejía from Puerto Rico was proclaimed the winner of the Mr World 2024 competition on Saturday, November 23 in Phan Thiet, Vietnam. The 28-year-old talented singer became the first Puerto Rican to win the international title. He holds a degree in health sciences and works as a mortgage loan originator. Pham Tuan Nhoc of Vietnam, Antonio Company of Spain, and Felipe Salvador Maria of Angola were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Valeria Cannavo, the representative of Dependencias Federales, was crowned Miss Venezuela World 2024 on Saturday, November 23 in Caracas. The 24-year-old fashion designer succeeds Ariagny Daboin (Miss Venezuela World 2021) and will now prepare to represent Venezuela at the Miss World 2025 competition. Alessandra Guillen of Delta Amacuro was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2024 at the same event. Miss Universe 2024: Philippines' Chelsea Manalo wins Best in National Costume

The Miss Universe Organization has officially announced Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines as the Best in National Costume winner at Miss Universe 2024. Completing the Top 3 finalists for the special award were Emilia Dides from Chile (second place) and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen from Vietnam (third place). Chelsea's national costume "Hiraya" meaning "the fruit of one's hopes, dreams, and aspirations" was voted the ultimate winner among 125 costumes showcased on this year's Miss Universe stage. Created by Filipino fashion designer Manny Halasan, the winning costume was a homage to the Philippines' diverse history and culture. Mr World 2024: Puerto Rico's Daniel Mejía wins Sports Challenge

Puerto Rico's Daniel Mejía was declared the overall winner of the Mr World 2024 Sports Challenge following the combined results of swimming and running events. The swimming round was held on November 14, while the running round took place on Sunday in conjunction with the Strong Vietnam Marathon in Vung Tau City. Kirk Bondad of the Philipines came second while Bruno Barbieri of Italy, Manu Turner of England, and Vincent Gobuamang of Botswana were third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. The 18-year-old former elite dancer from Søborg is a woman with great ambitions. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes.
