69th Miss Universe competition postponed due to COVID-19 pandemicThe Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has informed its national franchise directors that the 69th Miss Universe pageant will not be held earlier than the first quarter of next year.

An official announcement is yet to be released by the organization regarding the details of the next competition.

Meanwhile, the reigning Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi will continue to represent MUO until the next edition takes place.

Amid the pandemic, the South African titleholder has been taking up spaces on the Miss Universe platforms touching various social issues from gender equality to racial discrimination, women empowerment, leadership, mental health, and more that are relevant to our time.

Apart from Miss Universe, other international pageants such as Miss International, Miss World, and Miss/Mister Supranational have already announced the postponement of their 2020 editions.
