Femina Miss India pageant has finally heard the plead of the netizens to change the minimum height requirement of the competition to allow more talented and versatile women to have the opportunity to join.
For the very first time in history, the organization has reduced the required height by two inches, with the new criteria being five feet three inches (5’3″) and above.
This year, the Femina Miss India pageant has launched a virtual edition and it promises a “fresh approach and a dynamic new format to the Miss India pageant.”
“Adversity sparks innovation. Innovation is the lifeblood of change, a big change is afoot at India’s most credible beauty pageant! Femina Miss India is changing and adapting to the evolving times,” captions a post on its official social media platforms.
Femina Miss India 2020 co-powered by Sephora & Roposo is now looking for the next set of winners who will represent India at Miss World, Miss Grand International, and Miss United Continent competitions.
