A 24-year-old model from Bodden Town, Kadejah Bodden, was crowned Miss Cayman Islands Universe 2019 at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman’s ballroom last Saturday, August 17.
The runners-up were Mariah Tibbetts and Mahalia Seymour.
Kadejah has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and master’s in regenerative medicine from Queen Mary University in London. She enjoys yoga and paddleboarding.
The new Miss Cayman Islands succeeded last year’s winner Caitlyn Tyson. She won $70,000 worth of scholarship, 2019 KIA K3 for the duration of her reign, and the right to represent her country at Miss Universe 2019.
A British Overseas Territory consisting of three islands in the western Caribbean Sea, the Cayman Islands is yet to have its first placement at the Miss Universe pageant.
