Maryline Kouadio was crowend Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2020 on Saturday, October 3 at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire.
The 18-year-old tourism student who was elected Miss Yamoussoukro 2020 last month succeeds last year’s winner Tara Gueye. She edged out 19 other contestants to win the national beauty title.
“What I’ve learned myself is that I don’t have to be someone else, that I am quite well, and that when I’m true to myself, I can do amazing things. You must allow the impossible to become possible,” she said prior to winning the competition.
Fatim Doukourė, Roxane Sangaré, Elvire Agbemadon, and Eunice Brown were the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Maryline is expected to represent the Ivory Coast at the Miss International 2021 pageant next year in Yokohama, Japan.
