Miss Earth 2018 Nguyen Phuong Khanh has recently made a trip to Fukuoka, Japan for a series of socio-enviro activities and of course, sight-seeing.
Fukuoka, capital of Fukuoka Prefecture, sits on the northern shore of Japan’s Kyushu Island. It’s known for ancient temples, beaches, modern shopping malls and of course, two of Japan’s most famous ramen chains, Ichiran and Ippudo, hail from the city.
The Vietnamese beauty queen was welcomed by the Japanese Education Association during her arrival at the airport. They also hosted a welcome dinner for her wearing traditional Japanese kimono.
She also visited the consulate office of Vietnam where she had the chance to discuss the living conditions of the Vietnamese community in Fukuoka, as well as the opportunities for young children and students to study abroad.
But the highlight of her trip was an honor to be trusted by the Japanese Education Association as their ambassador, a meaningful role that helps create new opportunities for future Vietnamese students who want to study abroad and promote the development of Vietnam in the coming years.
“As Miss Earth 2018, I always hope to do good things to the community and especially to my country. I believe that I will be a bridge for students in Vietnam to gain more opportunities to study in Japan.”
