Yenny Carrillo bested 15 other beauties to be crowned Miss Earth Colombia 2019 on Thursday, August 22 at the ABC Theater in Bogotá. She succeeds last year’s Miss Earth Colombia and Miss Earth Water Valeria Ayos.
The 25-year-old law student representing the Natural Catatumbo Bari National Park will compete in Miss Earth 2019 pageant in the Philippines this coming October.
Carolina Quintero, Betania Rojas, and Maria Paula Castillo were the elemental court winners and they will represent the country this year in various international pageants such as Miss Landscapes International, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Panamericana.
Reining Miss Earth from Vietnam, Nguyen Phuong Khanh and Miss Earth Fire from Mexico, Melissa Flores, graced the glittering competition.
Colombia is yet to win the Miss Earth crown. The country has placed in the Top 4 for three consecutive years now with Michelle Gomez, Juliana Franco, and Valeria Ayos.
