17-year-old beauty from Chita, Anyta Baksheeva, was crowned Miss Earth Russia 2019 during the Krasa Rossii 2019 (Beauty of Russia 2019) pageant held at the Vegas City Hall in Moscow on Tuesday, June 26. Christina Bugaevskaya and Natalia Fedorova were first and second runners-up, respectively.
Anyta edged out 47 other beauties to win the competition and took over the title from last year’s winner, Miss Earth Russia 2018 Daria Kartyshova. She will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Earth 2019 pageant next October in the Philippines.
Russia is yet to win the Miss Earth crown but it has won the title of Miss Earth – Fire (runner-up) twice, with Anastasia Trusova in 2014 and Lada Akimova in 2017 – the country’s highest achievement so far in the history of the international pageant.
