A full-time fashion model representing Atlantic Ocean, Lindsey Marie Coffey, 28, was crowned Miss Earth USA 2020 in a virtual competition held on Saturday, August 8.
The elemental court winners were Miss District of Columbia, Shannon Lynch, Miss Georgia, Autumn Adams, Miss Louisiana, LeighAnna Kingvalsky, and Miss Rhode Island, Alexandra Curtis. They were named Miss Earth USA Air, Water, Fire, and Eco, respectively.
Completing the Top 10 finalists were Miss Central Plains, Amaya McGough, Miss Nebraska, Angel Strong, Miss Delaware, Kayla Morgan, Miss Alabama, Kennedy Thomas, and Miss North Carolina, Lili Klainer.
The new Miss Earth USA holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication arts, and she ranks as one of the best collegiate high jumpers in the state of Pennsylvania. Her long term goal is to obtain a Juris Doctor degree.
Lindsey will represent the USA in the 20th anniversary of the Miss Earth pageant to be held virtually in the Philippines this fall.
Former Miss Earth USA and Miss Earth-Water, Brittany Ann Payne, hosted the competition which was aired live via Pageant Planet Facebook page.
It was the first time that the national competition was held virtually due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic the world is facing.
Miss Earth is an international platform that uses pageantry to promote environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility.
