24-year-old Diana Hamed was crowned Miss Egypt Universe 2019 in a national competition held on Sunday, October 20 at the Al Masa Hotel in Nasr City, Cairo.
Aya Abdelrazik and Merna Mekawe were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Diana bested 19 other contestants to win the national beauty title. She succeeds last year’s titleholder, Nariman Khaled.
The newly-crowned beauty queen will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant in the USA in December.
Egypt is yet to win its first Miss Universe crown.
