Rebecca Kwabi was crowned Miss Ghana 2019 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 6 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, in Accra.
The 26-year-old fashion student at Maureen Signature Institute succeeds last year’s winner, Nana Ama Benson.
Sarah Odei-Amoani and Deborah Opoku Sarfo were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Rebecca bested 18 other contestants to win the national beauty title. She will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss World 2019 pageant later this year in London, England.
The competition organized by Exclusive Events Ghana was graced by reigning Miss World from Mexico, Vanessa Ponce, and Miss World organization chairwoman and CEO, Julia Morley.
Ghana is yet to win the Miss World crown.
