22-year-old corporate service administrator, Celine Bolaños, was crowned Miss Gibraltar 2019 last Saturday night, June 1 at the Special Olympics Sports Hall, St Christopher’s Alley. She bested 7 other beauties to win the national competition and the right to represent her country at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London later this year.
Last year’s Miss Gibraltar Star Farrugia crowned her successor at the end of the event. The runners-up were Janice Sampere (1st Princess) and Jyza Balban (2nd Princess).
Miss Gibraltar pageant was first staged in 1959. Fifty years later, the country won its first Miss World crown in Johannesburg, South Africa with Kaiane Aldorino (Miss World 2009).
