Ruri Saji was crowned Miss Grand Japan 2020 in a national competition held on Friday, September 11 in Tokyo.
Karin Kyotani and Makaha Oguma were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Arika Wakabayashi and Yuri Koezuka completed the Top 5 finalists.
The new Miss Grand Japan is a 25-year-old student from Niigata. She will represent her country at the Miss Grand International 2020 competition, whose final date and venue are yet to be confirmed.
Miss Grand Japan 2020 was held at the Grand Hall Tokyo without the audience due to the current pandemic. The glittering finale was streamed live via digital platforms.
Thirty-six finalists competed for the coveted national title. Last year’s winner, Adeline Minatoya, crowned her successor at the end of the event.
