Arayha Suparurk (Miss Grand Nakhon Phanom) was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2019 in a glittering competition held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre on Saturday, July 13.
The 24-year-old succeeds last year’s winner, Namoey Chanaphan, and will now prepare to represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International 2019 pageant in Venezuela next October.
Peerachada Khunrak (Miss Grand Nan), Jane Naruemon (Miss Grand Chang Mai), Maneerat Dangprasert (Miss Grand Trat), and Chompoonut Phungphon (Miss Grand Phangnga) were the runners-up.
Two of the runners-up are expected to compete in Miss Intercontinental and Miss United Continents pageants this year.
Coco has recently sparked outrage online because of her Instagram post that shows a comparison between Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2018 Clara Sosa. The controversial photo which has now been deleted describes Clara as fit and Catriona as fat.
Miss Grand Thailand pageant, headed by Nawat Itsaragrisil, was born in 2013. As stated on its official website, the competition aims to search for an exceptional woman who is not only beautiful but also intelligent and a good role model to society.
