Clémence Botino was crowned Miss France 2020 in a competition held on Saturday, December 14 at the Le Dôme de Marseille.
The 22-year-old master in art history student from Guadeloupe beat 29 other beauties to win the prestigious title. She is expected to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
Miss Provence, Lou Ruat was the first runner-up, and Miss Tahiti, Matahari Bousquet was the second runner-up.
The representatives from Burgundy, Sophie Diry, and Côte d’Azur, Manelle Souahlia, were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Despite only being the 90th edition, Miss France 2020 marked the centenary of the national pageant since its inception in 1920.
The glittering event was hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Sylvie Tellier, and last year’s winner from Tahiti, Vaimalama Chaves, with performances by Robbie Williams.
