Miss International 2020 competition, which was originally scheduled on October 29 in Yokohama, Japan, has been canceled due to the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
The International Cultural Association (ICA), organizers of the Miss International pageant in Tokyo, will instead stage the 60th edition next year after the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
This will be the second time the pageant has been canceled since 1966.
Sireethorn Leearamwat, the reigning Miss International from Thailand, is set to become the longest-reigning Miss International titleholder in history.
