Nguyen Tuong San was crowned Miss International Vietnam 2019 at a highly attended press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday, August 30.
The 19-year-old communications student at RMIT Hanoi campus succeeds last year’s winner, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien. She will now represent her country at the Miss International 2019 pageant in Tokyo, Japan in November.
Mariem Velazco, the reigning Miss International from Venezuela, graced the event. It was her first visit to the country.
Vietnam is yet to win its first Miss International crown. The country’s highest placement in the pageant was in 2015 with Pham Hong Thuy Van.
