Miss Louth, Chelsea Farrell, was crowned Miss Ireland 2019 last Saturday, September 14 at The Helix Centre for the Performing Arts in Dublin. She succeeds last year’s winner, Aoife O’Sullivan.
Miss Clare, Emma Austin and Miss Limerick North, Christina Alcazar were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The 19-year-old midwifery student from Ardee, County Louth, beat 32 other beauties to win the competition. She will represent Ireland at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, England later this year.
Now in its 72nd year, Miss Ireland continues to be one of the biggest national pageants in the country.
Ireland has won the Miss World crown once with Rosanna Davison in 2003.
