23-year-old Toni-Ann Singh was crowned Miss Jamaica World 2019 on Saturday, September 21 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston. Rochelle McKinley and Alana Wanliss were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The student of psychology and women’s studies beat 15 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She succeeds last year’s winner and Miss World Carribean, Kadijah Robinson.
Toni-Ann will represent Jamaica at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, England in December.
Jamaica has won the Miss World crown 3 times with Carole Crawford in 1963, Cindy Breakspeare in 1976, and Lisa Hanna in 1993.
