Kim Se Yeon was crowned Miss Korea 2019 during the 63rd edition of the national contest held on Thursday, July 11 at the Kyung Hee University’s Grand Peace Hall, in Seoul.
The 20-year-old US-based graphic designer edged out 31 other contestants to win the coveted national beauty title.
Shin Yoon-ah, Lee Hye-ju, Shin Hye-ji, Woo Hee-jun, Lee Da-hyun, and Lee Ha-nuey were the runners-up.
This year’s competition was broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook. The panel of judges includes actresses, former Miss Korea winners, and experts in the areas of fashion, music, and entertainment.
The winners are expected to represent the country at the Miss Earth 2019 and Miss International 2019 pageants.
