Miss Diaspora, Nellie Anjaratiana edged out six other finalists to be crowned Miss Madagascar 2020 last July 17.
The 24-year-old beauty obtained her license in life sciences from the University of Lorraine. She also holds a diploma in customer relations.
Nellie will represent Madagascar in the next edition of the Miss World competition to be held next year.
Miss Ihorombe, Faratiana Randriamaro, and Miss Diana, Tamara Vanimbelo were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The national competition, organized by Miss Madagascar Ofisialy- CNMM, was mainly held virtually due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Madagascar is yet to win its first Miss World crown. The island country situated in the Indian Ocean first joined the international pageant in 1960.
