Sunniva Høiåsen Frigstad, 20, was crowned Miss Norway 2020 in a competition held on Saturday, October 31 at Åpen Scene in Oslo.
The marketing and management student from Vennesla edged out eight other finalists to win the coveted national beauty title. She succeeds last year’s winner, Helene Abildsnes.
Ina Kollset was named first runner-up while Andrea Nicole Nornes Freier was the second runner-up. Matilde Lundh Forberg and Celestina Andreassen were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Completing the Top 9 finalists were Donjeta Deli, Viktoria Christense Skarstein, Christina Auli Westhelle and Amine Victoria Fjeldberg.
The new Miss Norway, who also took home the Miss Universe Norway 2020 title, will represent the Kingdom of Norway at the 69th Miss Universe pageant expected to be held during the first quarter of next year.
This year marks 30 years since Mona Grudt won Miss Universe 1990, Norway’s first and only Miss Universe titleholder.
