24-year-old beauty from Oeiras, Inês Brusselmans, was crowned Miss Portuguesa 2019 in a competition held on Saturday, July 27 at the Casa Branca de Gramido in Valbom, Gondomar. She beat 17 other finalists to win the national title and succeed last year’s winner, Carla Rodrigues.
Inês will now prepare to represent Portugal at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, England next December.
Other winners crowned in the competition were the country’s representatives to this year’s Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.
Sylvie Silva, 20 years old from Monaco, was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2019. She will compete in the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.
Last year’s Miss Portuguesa first runner-up, Ana Rita Aguiar, was appointed as Miss International Portugal 2019. She will travel to Tokyo, Japan for the Miss International 2019 pageant in November.
Miss Supranational Portugal 2019, Carolina Liquito, will join Miss Supranational 2019 in Poland, while Miss Grand Portugal 2019, Laura Gameiro, will go to Caracas, Venezuela for Miss Grand International 2019 pageant in October.
Cristiana Silva and Beatriz Mota were first and second runners-up, respectively.
18 finalists competed during the 9th edition of the national pageant.
