24-year-old Keryn Matthew from Edinburgh was crowned Miss Scotland 2019 on Saturday, June 8 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. Celine Robertson and Jodie Weir were first and second runners-up, respectively.
Keryn bested 17 other beauties to take over the title from last year’s winner Miss Scotland 2018 Linzi McLelland. She will now prepare to represent Scotland at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London later this year.
The former Edinburgh University student has been raising funds for the Alzheimer Scotland charity. It’s a cause that’s close to her heart after she previously revealed her grandfather had suffered from the condition.
