Kelly-Mary Anette was crowned Miss Seychelles 2020 on Monday, December 7 at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles (ICCS) in Victoria.
The 24-year-old economist who hails from the eastern district of Pointe Larue, bested nine other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds Hilary Joubert who won in 2017.
Shannen Henrie and Elsia Francoise were named first and second princesses, respectively.
Kelly is expected to represent the East African country at the 70th Miss World pageant in the last quarter of 2021.
“And just like that, her life was changed forever. This is for you my beautiful Seychelles. I will carry you all in my heart throughout this entire reign. My advocacy will and shall be for the best interests of my beloved nation,” she wrote on social media.
