Rose David Manfere bested 19 other finalists to be crowned Miss Tanzania 2020 on Saturday, December 5 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam.
The 20-year-old beauty is pursuing a bachelor of science in information system management at Ardhi University. She will represent her country at the 70th Miss World pageant expectedly in the last quarter of 2021.
Juliana Rugumisa and Prisca Lyimo were the first and second runners-up, respectively while Hoyce Bakanoba and Yvon Paul completed the Top 5.
The new Miss Tanzania succeeds last year’s winner, Sylvia Sebastian. She took to social media and expressed that winning the title was a wild dream that finally turned into reality.
“As your Miss Tanzania, I look forward to representing my country with kindness and love throughout my reign and to work hard too,” she said.
