A 21-year-old liberal arts student, Narintorn Chadapattarawalrachoat, was crowned Miss Thailand World 2019 on Saturday, August 3 at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam’s Palladium Hall in Bangkok. The runners-up were Phamolchanok Dhilokratchatasakul and Dusita Tipgomut.
Narintorn beat 23 other beauties to win the coveted beauty title relinquished by last year’s winner and Miss World runner-up, Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan. She took home one million Thai baht and a brand new Hyundai IONIQ Electric.
The new Miss Thailand World also received the Beauty with a Purpose award. She will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, England in December.
Thailand is yet to win the Miss World crown. Last year’s runner-up placement is the country’s highest achievement so far in the international competition.
