A 26-year-old presenter and TV makeup artist from Llanelli, Emma Jenkins, was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2019 last Saturday, July 13 at the Mercure Holland House in Cardiff, Wales.
Emma beat more than 30 other beauties to succeed last year’s winner, Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers. She previously competed as Miss Wales in Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China.
Erin Williams and Cara Frew were first and second runners-up, respectively, while Christina Chalk and Zania Linton completed the Top 5 finalists.
Aside from winning the crown, Emma also bagged the Miss Photogenic award. She will now prepare to represent Great Britain at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant later this year.
Great Britain is yet to win Miss Universe. It only came so close to winning the pageant four times with Rosemarie Frankland (Wales) in 1961, Brenda Blackler (England) in 1964, Helen Morgan (Wales) in 1974, and Linda Gallagher (Scotland) in 1980.
