Park Ha Rin has been officially announced as Miss Universe Korea 2020 on Thursday, December 17. She succeeds last year’s winner, Lee Yeon-joo.
The 24-year-old model and student from Incheon was the first runner-up during Miss Queen Korea 2019 pageant.
“I feel like I’m on top of the world to be part of Miss Universe,” Park wrote on her social media.
She added: “I wish this pandemic can settle down as soon as possible and bring our normal life back. I wish and I strongly think that we can overcome this barrier.”
Park ended her post by “sending love from Korea” and asking everyone to stay safe [amid the pandemic].
The newly-appointed beauty queen will represent her country at the 69th Miss Universe pageant to be held next year possibly in the USA.
