Andrea Martínez was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2020 on Saturday, November 21 at the Los Olivos Beach Resort in Tenerife, Canary Islands. She succeeds last year’s winner, Natalie Ortega.
The 27-year-old model who hails from León holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management and a master’s degree in éxecutive project management. She bested 16 other contestants to win her title and the right to represent Spain at the 69th Miss Universe pageant.
Andrea de las Heras of Madrid and Ainhoa Portillo of Málaga were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Angie Benavides of Granada and Oriana Correia of Almeria completed the Top 5 finalists.
The new Miss Universe Spain succeeds last year’s winner, Natalie Ortega. She bested 16 other contestants to win the coveted title and the right to represent Spain at the 69th Miss Universe pageant.
This year’s competition unveiled a new crown “Amparo” crafted by Mexican jewelry designer, Ricardo Patraca. It was named after Spain’s first and only Miss Universe winner, Amparo Muñoz.
