Lina Ljungberg, 22, was crowned Miss Universe Sweden 2019 in a national competition held at the Café Opera in Stockholm last September 29. She succeeds last year’s winner, Emma Strandberg.
The newly-crowned beauty from Norrköping, who previously held the titles of Miss International Sweden in 2017 and Miss Bikini Sweden 2018, will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.
Also crowned in the same event is Miss International Sweden 2019 Paulina Kielczewska and Mr Universe Model Sweden 2019 Elvir Aljicevic. Yasmine Mindru was proclaimed as the first runner-up.
Paulina will travel to Tokyo, Japan for the Miss International 2019 pageant in November while Elvir will join the next edition of Manhunt International competition in Australia.
Sweden has won the Miss Universe crown three times with Hillevi Rombin in 1955, Margareta Arvidsson in 1966, and Yvonne Ryding in 1984. The country, however, is yet to win Miss International.
