South Carolina’s Maritsa Platis was crowned Miss US International 2020 on Friday, June 26 in Kissimmee, Florida. She edged out 20 other contestants to succeed last year’s winner, Ghazal Gill of West Coast.
The 19-year-old public health student from North Myrtle Beach will represent the United States in the 60th Miss International pageant.
Also crowned in the glittering competition were Miss US Landscapes 2020, Louisiana’s Erika Anne Turner, and Miss Tourism US International 2020, Florida’s Caroline Dixon.
Southern States’ Kelly Seibold and Michigan’s Jamie Jackson were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
