The Miss Venezuela organization together with Venevisión continues with the preparation for the 2020 competition and exceptionally for the first time, the traditional beauty event will be pre-recorded without the audience to comply with the preventive measures imposed worldwide amid the pandemic situation.
Miss Venezuela 2020 has innovated with a different format in which, once the judges’ final scores are calculated, the new queens and the winners of the special awards will be announced on Thursday, September 24, and later in person, in a special coronation program, which will be aired on Venevisión in Venezuela, VePlus for Latin America and the United States, and through Venevision.tv for the rest of the world.
Prior to the final night, the panel of judges will hold an interview with each of the contestants and later will have the opportunity to review all the recorded audiovisual materials, in order to cast their final votes. This in-person meeting will be streamed live through the digital platforms.
The “Temporada de la belleza” maintains its initially established format and will hold the two competitions on the same day. During the first part of “La noche más linda del año,” to be hosted by Fanny Ottati and José Andrés Padrón, along with the special participation of Miss Venezuela 2018, Isabella Rodríguez, the 22 contestants will be evaluated on talent, social vocation interview, and top model to determine the next representative at the Miss World pageant.
Former titleholder Cynthia Lander and Henrys Silva will host the next competition where the remaining 21 contestants will battle out in a swimsuit, evening gown and final question rounds to be crowned Miss Venezuela and Miss International Venezuela 2020. The winners of these important titles will be sent to the next Miss Universe and Miss International editions.
The “Mejor Diseño de Miss Venezuela 2020” award will be chosen among the exclusive designs to be worn by the contestants and the winner of Miss Venezuela World during the evening gown parade.
Miss Venezuela applaud the contestants for their commitment to take this year’s challenge with great dedication and discipline. They also encourage the entire country to continue their support.
