The Top 15 semi-finalists of Miss World America 2020 virtual competition have been officially announced in the pageant’s opening ceremony held on Saturday, October 10.
They are Annie Li (Arizona), Melanie Wardhana (California), Serene Singh (Colorado), Jessica Wilson (Delaware), Manju Bangalore (Oregon), Megan Gordon (South Carolina), Manya Saaraswat (Pennsylvania), Alissa Musto (Massachusetts), Molly May (Mississippi), Johana Perez (Texas), Taylor Fogg (New Hampshire), Alissa Anderegg (New York), Andrianna Acosta (New Jersey), Ansima Mamboleo (Illinois) and Shree Saini (Washington).
Prior to the announcement, around 30 contestants competed in several preliminary rounds since the beginning of October such as Beauty with a Purpose, Talent Showcase, Top Model Challenge, Interview Challenge, and Beautiful Me Challenge.
From the Top 15, the Top 10 will be chosen following a question and answer competition. They will then go through a Head to Head Challenge to determine who will advance to the final Top 5 round.
The Miss World America 2020 winners will be announced on October 16 and the crowning ceremony is slated for October 24. Visit the pageant’s official website to purchase access to live streams, including the preliminary and national final events.
At the end of the competition, last year’s winner Emmy Rose Cuvelier will crown her successor who will represent the United States at the 70th Miss World edition to be held in the last quarter of next year.
