A 22-year-old human resources student from Budapest, Krisztina Nagypál, was crowned Miss World Hungary 2019 during the Magyarország Szépe 2019 live telecast on Duna TV and Dune World last Sunday, June 23.
Tímea Gaál and Rebeka Csonka were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Barbara Ollári and Virág Kis completed the Top 5 finalists.
Krisztina edged out 15 other contestants to win the national title and succeed last year’s winner, Andrea Szarvas. She will now prepare to represent Hungary at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London in December.
The Metropolitan University student said, “My dream has come true and I am preparing myself to represent my country on the world’s biggest stage. I want to be ready as any Miss World needs to be beautiful on the inside and out.”
Hungary’s highest placement at the Miss World pageant was in 2014 when Edina Kulcsár finished as first runner-up.
