24-year-old Alexis SueAnn was crowned Miss World Malaysia 2019 last Sunday, August 6 at the Mega Star Arena, in Kuala Lumpur. Juliana Sambai and Melissa Jespoh were the first and second princesses, respectively.
The TV host and actress from Kuala Lumpur who beat 23 other contestants to win the national competition succeeds last year’s winner Larissa Ping Liew. She will now prepare to represent Malaysia at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, England in December.
“I know it’s going to be one big roller coaster ride, but I promise I will pour my heart and soul into giving Malaysia the best. I can’t wait to meet everyone in London”, the newly-crowned beauty said.
Malaysia is yet to win the Miss World crown. The country’s highest placement in the pageant was second runner-up with Lina Teoh in 1998.
