Ana García Segundo, 23, was crowned Miss World Spain 2020 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, July 25 at the Marina d’Or in Oropesa del Mar.
The law student from Almeria succeeds last year’s winner, María del Mar Aguilera. She bested more than 50 other beauties to win one of the most coveted beauty titles in Spain.
Elena Cestero of Valladolid and Sabela Álvarez of Barcelona were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Blanca Aguilera of Málaga and Cárla Benitez of Las Palmas were the rest of the Top 5 finalists.
The representatives from Madrid, Desiree Brampton, Cádiz, Nerea Ponce, Girona, Laura Mora, Cuenca, Andrea Rodríguez, and Valencia, Rosa Nouvilas completed the Top 10 semi-finalists.
The newly-crowned Miss World Spain will represent her country in the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant to be held next year.
Spain’s first and only Miss World who won in 2015, Mireia Lalaguna, graced the competition as one of the judges.
