A 21-year-old beauty from Five Rivers, Tya Janè Ramey, was crowned Miss World Trinidad & Tobago 2019 on Sunday night, June 16 at the Naparima Bowl in San Fernando.
Laura Lee Williams (Chaguanas) and Nikita Samlal (Rio Claro) were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Aside from winning the title, Tya also won Best Talent earlier in June when she played the saxophone and did a contemporary dance.
The newly-crowned Miss World Trinidad & Tobago holds a BA in Social Work and Social Policies and is a volleyballer. She will now prepare to represent Trinidad & Tobago at the Miss World 2019 pageant later this year in London.
Trinidad & Tobago won the Miss World crown once with Miss World 1986 Giselle Laronde.
