Manuel Romo, representing Extremadura, has won Mister International Spain 2020 in a competition held on Friday, July 24 at the Marina d’Or in Oropesa del Mar. He succeeds last year’s winner, Yeray Hidalgo.
The 24-year-old graduate of business administration and management and law degree edged out 53 other contestants to win the title. He will represent Spain in the next Mister International competition.
“I have already won by being here, in this year I have learned, I have matured, I have grown, I have known, I have dared, I have been wrong and above all, I have been very happy being Mister International Extremadura,” he posted on social media shortly before winning his national pageant.
Anselmo Menéndez of Ourense and Leif Otto Gehrig of Granada were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The representative of Navarra, Javier Achaga, and Cádiz, Antonio López Nieves were the rest of the Top 5, while Barcelona, Genís Colet González, Madrid, Miguel Ángel Ibáñez Moreno, Murcia, Pedro Silvente Belando, and Pontevedra, José Andrade completed the Top 10 semi-finalists.
Spain’s first and only Miss World who won in 2015, Mireia Lalaguna, graced the competition as one of the judges.
